Presenting the 2023 Sustainability Report

In an increasingly sustainability-conscious business environment, at Nordlogway we continue to work with the conviction that every small change counts. In this report, we outline the achievements, initiatives, and challenges we faced over the past year.

Our commitment to sustainability

Our report highlights the actions we have implemented to minimize the environmental impact of our operations, strengthen social cohesion in our communities, and optimize internal processes to ensure long-term economic efficiency.

  • Renewable Energy and Self-Consumption: At our Manlleu headquarters, we installed 130 solar panels, generating an annual production of over 91,338.81 kWh, representing 46.42% of our center’s annual energy consumption.

  • Waste Reduction: We have significantly reduced waste production. For instance, the use of shrink-wrap plastic has decreased by 22.39% and paper consumption by 30.51%.

  • Reverse Logistics and Sustainable Transportation: This year, 66.82% of our shipments were carried out by transporters that comply with our sustainability policies.

  • Diverse and Inclusive Work Environment: This year, we strengthened our gender equality and local hiring policies. Currently, more than 18% of our employees are from the local area or nearby regions.

Challenges for 2024:

Our goals for 2024 include expanding the use of solar energy at the Santa Perpètua de Mogoda facilities, implementing advanced technology to enhance operational efficiency, and conducting a comprehensive inventory of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

The support of our customers, suppliers, and collaborators is key to this transformation, and together we will continue to seek innovative solutions to reduce our impact and improve our operations.
